Pictures, kids, cats, weirdness, and dead fish. Probably too much information here. This is an alternate to my LiveJournal. For more juicy entries (without pictures), you might want to read there.

One Damn Good Cat.
We love and miss him lots.
...For that familiar voice, that fur,
That soft weight missing from our laps,
That we had loved too well perhaps
And mourned from weakness of the heart:
A childish weakness, to regard
An animal whose life is brief
With such affection and such grief.
If this is foolish, so it be.
He was good company,
And we miss his gift
Of cat affection while he lived...
...Who gave the pleasure of himself:
The memory of our cat, Ralph.
- Garrison Keillor

Because AOL/Compuserve is being a butt...
- They just conveniently decided LiveJournal users are using too much bandwidth by posting pictures (coincidently on the same weekend they launched their own journalling service - *SNORT).
Sooo...
This is a place for my entries with pictures until I manage to change ISPs....

Into Temptation...
Bob sometimes shows remarkable restraint, for a cat.

Where your Windows dollars are going?
This came into port today.
Port side - Note 40' sailboat on side and covered power boat above.
Her name is the Tatoosh, and apparently she belongs to Paul Allen, co-founder of Microsoft and owner of the Portland Trailblazers. My theory is he must have come down for the Comdex computer trade show in Las Vegas and taken one of his helicopters there.
Starboard side w/ 40' sportfishing vessel
She's 92 meters long (about 300 ft.) Just for a sense of scale, the tugboat in the foreground is at least 80' long. This is bigger than the R/V David Starr Jordan, one of the Fed's research vessels.
Other amenities:
- 2 helipads
- recessed stern with water level access to jet skis, etc.
- pool and spa
- crew of 30

Halloween pics...
Group shot...
Avalon by herself...
I thought this costume was a squid, but since she has eight appendages, I guess she's really an octopus.
Angus looking cool with a turban squash...
Sometimes a tentacle goes well with a thumb...
And just in case you wanted to see what this thing looked like without a kid in it.
It was a originally a bunting for infants, but I saw it at Target & thought "It's huge!"
So I bought it anyway and cut the bottom seam out for her feet.
